Is there enough work to hand off?

Six questions about how your week actually goes, then your own numbers. You get a readiness score and the one figure that settles it: whether the work you could hand off costs you more than the help would.

What you will need

  • An honest read on where your hours go
  • What an hour of your time is worth
  • Three minutes

Six questions

Answer for a normal week, not your best one. Nobody is grading this and nothing is sent anywhere.

1. How many hours per week do you spend on tasks outside your core expertise?
2. How often do follow-ups, callbacks, or client check-ins slip through the cracks?
3. When was the last time you took a full day completely off from your business?
4. What percentage of your revenue-generating work requires your direct involvement?
5. How would you describe your current capacity to take on new clients or projects?
6. Have you tried delegating tasks before? How did it go?

Then the money

A score on its own does not decide anything. This is the part that does: what those hours cost you against what the help costs.
