Missouri

Business consulting for Missouri owners

St. Joseph is about two hours from Omaha and Kansas City a little under three, both straight down I-29. LINX works with owner-led Missouri companies from there to St. Louis.

Who it is for: owners with 5 to 50 employees in construction, healthcare, hospitality, and distribution.

Three interventions

We don't stop at advice.

Three things happen in a LINX engagement. Most firms only do the first one.

01 Diagnose and Improve

Find the real constraint and set the order things get fixed in.

  • LINX Connect, Connect+, Leadership, Performance, and the Compass diagnostic
  • Financial analysis, constraint analysis, and what each problem is costing you
  • Sequencing, decision support, and weekly accountability

You see the real problem before you spend money on the wrong one.

02 Install Infrastructure

Put the tools, the process, and the accountability in the business.

  • CRM and follow-up systems
  • SOPs, dashboards, the few numbers that matter, and clean handoffs
  • A weekly money rhythm, HR systems, and an operating rhythm the team keeps

No binder. We install the machinery that runs the business, and your team runs it.

03 Provide Capacity

Add hands or capital without defaulting to another full-time salary.

  • LINX Leverage - People: virtual assistants, fractional back office, admin, reception, marketing, bookkeeping
  • LINX Leverage - Funding: working capital, equipment, inventory, payroll timing, an expansion move
  • Lessons for owners who would rather learn the fix first

When the plan needs hands, we provide them, and capital when that is the real constraint.

Choosing

Which of the three you need

Most owners buy from one group. A few buy from all three, in that order.

Proof

Omaha roots, regional reach

The businesses we serve look a lot like Missouri's: contractors, healthcare practices, restaurants and hotels, and the distributors moving freight across the state.

One of them, a hospitality business, came to us with a $1.2MM annual loss run rate. About 15 months later it was profitable.

Where we fit

What Missouri owners run, and where LINX helps

Construction leads Missouri's small businesses by count, nearly 70,000 firms, and healthcare has more small employers than any other industry. Restaurants and hotels employ about 154,000 people at small firms, and close to 59,000 small transportation businesses move freight across the state.

The Missouri Chamber calls slow population growth the single biggest threat to the state's economy, and only 44 percent of the business leaders it surveyed were satisfied with the supply of skilled workers.

In a small company, that gap usually gets filled by the owner working longer. LINX helps move that work to the right people and systems, so the business can grow past one person's calendar.

Working from Omaha

How we work with Missouri businesses

Most of the work, from weekly advisory to support staff and systems, runs remotely. St. Joseph and Kansas City are close enough to Omaha for on-site days, and Columbia, Springfield, and St. Louis are scheduled trips when the engagement calls for them.

LINX does not keep a Missouri address. Everything is run from Omaha.

Fit

Is this right for your business?

A strong fit

  • You are owner-led, typically 5 to 50 employees and $500K to $10M in revenue.
  • You want a real thinking partner, and a one-time strategy deck would not be enough.
  • You want help getting the work done as well as advice.
  • You run a business in Missouri, from St. Joseph to St. Louis.

Not the right fit

  • You want advice with no help executing.
  • You are looking for the cheapest possible option.
  • You want a strategy deck rather than changes that hold.

If it is not a fit, we will tell you that on the first call and point you somewhere useful.

Questions

Questions Missouri owners ask us

Does LINX work with businesses in Missouri?

Yes. LINX is based in Omaha, a straight drive up I-29 from St. Joseph and Kansas City, and works with owners across Missouri. Advisory and support run remotely, and site visits happen when the problem has to be seen in person.

Our restaurant margins are thin. Is that something LINX works on?

LINX helps hospitality operators improve labor management, COGS, waste, purchasing, inventory, pricing, scheduling, service standards, manager accountability, location economics, support capacity, and owner dependence. In a thin-margin business, small operating improvements can materially change profit.

Does LINX work remotely or on-site?

Both. Weekly advisory, many support functions, systems work, resources, and much leadership development can happen remotely. Operational change may require on-site work when observation, implementation, team behavior, production flow, or physical-process constraints cannot be understood adequately from a screen.

What does business consulting with LINX cost?

Ongoing advisory through LINX Connect starts at $1,500 a month. Support staffing, leadership development, and embedded engagements are priced on their own service pages.

The better comparison is the cost of the engagement against what the problem is already costing the business.

How does a LINX engagement start?

It starts with understanding the business, the problem the owner believes they have, and whether LINX is the right fit. The first conversation should clarify the current situation, desired outcome, urgency, operating context, and which level of help is likely to make sense.

A deeper engagement then moves from symptoms toward constraint, evidence, economics, priorities, and execution.
